Senior Data Scientist

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of advanced AI/ML models, working closely with our engineering and product teams to unlock the power of data for a wide range of business and industry needs. The role requires deep technical expertise, innovative thinking, and the ability to deliver complex, data-driven solutions that drive real-world business impact. The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical skills, cross-industry experience, and the ability to work autonomously on high-impact projects that involve cutting-edge technology and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model Development & Optimization:

    • Design, build, and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models for real-time insights, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, and decision support.

    • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large, structured and unstructured datasets to uncover actionable insights.

    • Perform data mining, cleaning, aggregation, and feature engineering to prepare data for analysis and model implementation.

  • Advanced Data Analysis & Strategy:

    • Interprets results from complex data sources using programming, statistical, and analytical techniques.

    • Develops and maintains databases to support AI/ML pipelines and data-driven solutions.

    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand the purpose, objectives, and business impact of each data analysis project.

  • Digital Twin Development:

    • Contribute to the creation of NexusAI’s Digital Twin Environment, integrating diverse data streams into accurate, actionable simulations for enhanced decision-making.

  • Cross-Industry Expertise:

    • Adapt models and methodologies to address industry-specific challenges across supply chain logistics, healthcare, and beyond.

    • Leverage industry frameworks such as TMS, WMS, ERP systems for logistics, and FHIR/HL7 for healthcare data.

  • Scalability & Performance:

    • Ensure that models are designed to scale efficiently across multiple clients, industries, and large datasets while maintaining high performance and accuracy.

  • AI Auditability & Ethics:

    • Maintain transparency, interpretability, and ethical integrity in AI/ML solutions. Partner with advisors and ethical AI experts to mitigate bias and ensure auditability of models.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to define data pipelines, success metrics, and business use cases.

    • Act as a thought leader, driving the development of data-driven solutions that align with organizational goals.

  • Innovation:

    • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI/ML trends, tools, and technologies. Identify opportunities to enhance the NexusAI platform through innovative techniques, tools, and frameworks.

  • Leadership:

    • Provide technical leadership on advanced, complex projects, driving the team toward high-impact outcomes.

    • Mentor team members and contribute expertise to solve state-of-the-art technical challenges that span business and technology domains.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data science roles, preferably with exposure to multiple industries such as supply chain logistics, healthcare, or financial services.

  • Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques, including real-time anomaly detection and predictive modeling.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Hands-on experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Proven ability to manage complex datasets, including cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering, across industries.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib) for presenting actionable insights.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in building Digital Twins or simulation-based models for decision support.

  • Knowledge of supply chain systems (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) and/or healthcare data frameworks (e.g., FHIR, HL7).

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks for data handling in industries like healthcare (e.g., HIPAA) and/or financial services.

  • Experience with API integrations and working in a SaaS environment.

  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, model interpretability, and auditability.
