Senior AI/ML Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, implement, and scale advanced AI, ML, and NLP models while ensuring solutions are interpretable and explainable. This role focuses on building robust predictive models, integrating natural language interaction (NLP), and ensuring AI/ML solutions are interpretable, explainable, trustworthy, and scalable for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI/ML Model Development

    • Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models for tasks such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, demand forecasting, and resource optimization.

    • Develop NLP solutions to enable conversational interactions with NexusAI, allowing users to query and interact with data conversationally.

    • Develop agent-based behaviors that enable AI systems to autonomously perform tasks, make decisions, and adapt to changing environments.

    • Implement text classification, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, and question-answering systems to make complex insights accessible to users.

    • Leverage cutting-edge AI methodologies, including transformer architectures (e.g., GPT, BERT) and generative AI, to drive innovation across the platform.

  • Explainable AI (XAI) Integration

    • Build frameworks and tools to ensure model interpretability and explainability, enabling stakeholders to understand how and why decisions are made.

    • Integrate XAI methodologies such as SHAP, LIME, and attention-based explanations to provide transparency and trust in NexusAI’s predictions.

    • Develop tools for bias detection and fairness assessment to align with ethical AI practices and industry regulations.

  • Agent Design and Development

    • Create autonomous AI agents that collaborate with human users in a dynamic, multi-agent environment to optimize supply chain workflows.

    • Develop algorithms for multi-agent coordination, task prioritization, and decision-making under uncertainty.

    • Implement feedback loops to ensure AI agents continuously improve their performance based on real-world data and interactions.

    • Integrate agent behaviors into Digital Twin simulations to enable scenario testing, resource allocation, and predictive modeling.

  • End-to-End AI/ML Pipelines

    • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large structured and unstructured datasets.

    • Deploy models using CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

    • Implement automated model monitoring and retraining to ensure ongoing accuracy and performance.

  • Digital Twin Integration

    • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI/ML models into the NexusAI Digital Twin Environment, enabling real-time simulations and decision support.

    • Enhance Digital Twin functionality to provide actionable insights for dynamic supply chain operations and healthcare optimization.

  • Performance Optimization

    • Optimize model performance for speed and efficiency in real-time data processing and large-scale deployments.

    • Leverage big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) to build scalable systems capable of handling diverse, high-volume datasets.

  • Collaboration & Leadership

    • Experiment with multi-agent systems, game theory, and reinforcement learning to develop agent behaviors that align with real-world scenarios.

    • Work cross-functionally with product managers, software engineers, and domain experts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

    • Mentor junior engineers and share expertise on best practices for NLP, XAI, and ML model development.

    • Contribute to defining success metrics for deployed solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data science roles, preferably with exposure to multiple industries such as supply chain logistics, healthcare, or financial services.

  • Expertise in AI/ML roles, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques, including real-time anomaly detection and predictive modeling.

  • Experience with NLP techniques, such as entity extraction, text classification, and sentiment analysis.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with AI/ML libraries/frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Hands-on experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Proven ability to manage complex datasets, including cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering, across industries.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib) for presenting actionable insights.

Preferred:

  • Experience in building Digital Twins or simulation-based models for decision support.

  • Experience in building agent-based models, reinforcement learning, and decision-making systems.

  • Experience with multi-agent systems, task prioritization algorithms, and agent collaboration techniques.

  • Knowledge of supply chain systems (e.g., TMS, WMS, ERP) and/or healthcare data frameworks (e.g., FHIR, HL7).

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks for data handling in industries like healthcare (e.g., HIPAA) and/or financial services.

  • Experience with API integrations and working in a SaaS environment.

  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, model interpretability, and auditability.
