Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems to support NexusAI’s development, deployment, and scalability goals. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies to ensure the platform is secure, resilient, and optimized for large-scale data processing and real-time analytics. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the infrastructure behind an AI-powered, industry-leading platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design & Management

    • Architect and deploy scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP to support NexusAI.

    • Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.

    • Build and maintain virtual networks, cloud storage, compute clusters, and serverless components to enable seamless real-time data processing and AI workflows.

    • Implement solutions for load balancing, auto-scaling, and high availability to ensure uninterrupted performance under growing demands.

  • Automation & Optimization

    • Develop automation tools and scripts for infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and maintenance, improving efficiency and reliability.

    • Streamline CI/CD pipelines for application and model deployment, ensuring rapid releases and minimal downtime.

    • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency while maintaining high system performance.

  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting

    • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog) to track infrastructure performance and identify issues in real time.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

    • Continuously monitor and optimize system latency, resource utilization, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Security & Compliance

    • Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, firewalls, and secure network configurations.

    • Ensure the platform complies with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2) by implementing secure data management and access controls.

    • Collaborate with the Security Architect to ensure infrastructure resilience against cyber threats.

  • Collaboration & Support

    • Work closely with DevOps, AI/ML Engineers, and Data Scientists to support seamless deployment and operation of AI models, Digital Twin simulations, and real-time analytics workflows.

    • Support engineering teams in building cloud-native applications, ensuring integration with infrastructure components.

    • Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and best practices for cross-team visibility and operational readiness.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement

    • Research and implement new cloud technologies and tools to improve platform scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

    • Experiment with serverless technologies, Kubernetes orchestration, and multi-cloud architectures to future-proof the infrastructure.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.

  • Strong experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.

  • Knowledge of network architecture, including VPCs, load balancers, DNS, and security groups.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, ELK Stack).

  • Understanding of cloud security principles and experience implementing secure infrastructure solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines and data-heavy workflows on cloud platforms.

  • Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) and their deployment on cloud infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, or SOC 2.

  • Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.

  • Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
